Homemade AC duct adapter
(August 2025)

I unexpectedly got an AC unit, but couldn't easily exhaust the hot air because tje duct is round. Fortunately, it came with an adapter for an oblong opening, which gave me something I could mount my own adapter onto. So I made an adapter that fits the original oblong adapter on one end and my window on the other.

It is printed in PLA, which can easily deform at elevated temperatures. So I added ribs (in yellow) for structural rigidity and air guidance.

Since this is too big for my 3D printers, I ordered it from JLCPCB. I usually order PCBs and PCBAs from JLCPCB, but the printed part came out just fine.
